  15. GETTING STARTED: 
  16. In Windows: Using Program Manager, click on FILE, RUN, BROWSE. 
  17. Select your CDROM drive letter and choose SETUP2.EXE. Then follow 
  18. the instructions.

  21. ABOUT SHAREWARE:
  22. Unless otherwise noted, the programs on this disc are Shareware, 
  23. Public Domain, or Freeware. By purchasing this disc, you are not 
  24. necessarily purchasing registration, nor the right to use the 
  25. programs. In order to obtain these rights, you must register with 
  26. the developer listed in the individual program.  The price you 
  27. paid for the CD is the cost of duplication and distribution the 
  28. programs.

  30. There are three types of programs you'll find here: SHAREWARE - 
  31. You may use it for evaluation or as stated by the author. There 
  32. are restrictions that must be obeyed. PUBLIC DOMAIN - The author 
  33. has released it into public domain. FREEWARE - There is no fee 
  34. for private use, but restrictions exist.

  36. Shareware is software marketed on a "Try before you buy" basis. 
  37. The price per disk that Shareware distributors charge is a 
  38. distribution fee and not the price of the software.  Shareware 
  39. authors have agreed to allow vendors (like us) to recover 
  40. expenses for copying, packaging, and maintaining a shareware 
  41. library.  This allows you to obtain software programs at 
  42. incredibly low prices to try, then pay the registration price for 
  43. them only if they suit your needs. The idea is that after a 
  44. reasonable trial period, if you find the programs to be of use, 
  45. you are expected to send the author the registration fee.

  47. Registration entitles you to various rights and benefits.  These 
  48. include such basic things as the legal (and moral) right to 
  49. continue using the software.  In addition many shareware authors 
  50. offer printed documentation and/or higher levels of service and 
  51. support.  Unlike Public Domain software, which is free to 
  52. everyone 
  53. with no fees asked for or expected, shareware programs exist 
  54. because the authors expect and deserve the registration support 
  55. from people who use their programs.
